Our mission

At SHC, we are excited to be a part of the TEDx initiative! This event was created to promote the exploration and dissemination of "ideas worth spreading," in line with TED's overarching mission. The TEDx program is designed to bring the same spirit and energy of TED to communities around the world, through locally organized events. Our school is one of many passionate groups of individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and share groundbreaking research that sparks conversations in our community.

Each year, we feature live speakers and official videos in our luxurious Sister Caroline Collins Theater, all organized independently under a free license granted by TED. Although we are not directly controlled by TED, we abide by their guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, and event organizing. By doing so, we are able to learn from TED and from other organizers to create an impactful and engaging event for our community.

It's inspiring to know that more than 3000 TEDx events are now held annually, and we are honored to be part of such a meaningful movement.
